    Cat food help

Right now Kameo eats No Name seafood kibble (free fed) and 1/4 can wet food (fancy feast) in the morning.

I'm wanting to switch Kameo fully over to wet food.  He's active, a decent weight thou he could use to lose a pound or two. His coat could be softer and he's got a bit of dandriff.

Since I'm on a budget, I need to be able to buy a case of food to last a month. Any suggestions?

When I had the kitty (Pablo had to find a home, because I was allergic, but he crashed here for 6 mos!), I fed him decent kibble, and Meow Mix Market Selects wet food. He LOVED it, and it was quite decent, for the price. I'd get the boxes and feed him one in the evening, but he had kibble out all day. He's a fairly big kitty, so I dunno how much a cat would eat of just wet.

Hmmm.. I'm sure Kameo would stuff his face if I left a can out for him. Lol. I won't be making the switch for awhile so time to research! Lol.

Cat food, I found, was much easier than dog food. It was pretty easy to find decent cans at an affordable price. Kibble was different. I had to pay for that, but he really didn't eat much, anyways. A 5 lb bag lasted a month, or so. I could get decent enough (no by products or glutens) canned from the grocery store.

I've noticed that. Fancy Feast even has some decent ones out. You just have to look at the label color or ingredients.

Yup. That's what I did, especially if somebody was having a good sale. Pablo is totally fine with things changing frequently, so it never bothered him. I told his new mom the same thing. Good, chicken flavored kibble (because he prefers chicken to anything else), and whatever decent canned you put your hand on first, LOL.

Kameo is a turkey and cheese junkie. Lol.  I'm hoping the switch won't affect his stomach to much. I'm switching him to an indoor cat this winter full time when we get our kitten and I don't want to deal with a rank litter box. Lol

cats have VERY sensitive systems. Any switching needs to be done very, very slowly - or you'll get diarrhea out the wazoo.

My cats eat blue buffalo dry - with some random cans thrown in every now and then- usually fancy feast or whatever my dog food store has on clearance. I have 6 cats - it's just not possible for me to do just wet!

I have two l6 year old cats. they eat Blue Buffalo, Salmon flavor.  They also get Friskies Ocean Fish canned pate, this is the only kind they will eat.  They are both healthy, got the one at two years old and the other guy as a baby.  Both indoor cats.

I feed Peaches a tbls. of canned ( tiki cat) in the am and pm, but she has Orijen dry out all day, only a 1/2 cup because she has this lovely habit of eating to much to fast and pukes.
