    Opinions on Timberwolf Organics?

I am curious what the folks here think about Timberwolf Organics?  Has it gone down in quality?  Does anyone here use it?  What do people think of the food they make or the company itself? Thanks!

It is so expensive i refuse to try it.

I used it for a few months, but it was cheaper for me to feed my dogs raw than it was to feed Timberwolf.

It IS very expensive, but we have no human children so expense is not that big a deal to us.  We just want the best possible dog food regardless of cost.  I asked the pet store why they stopped carrying it and they said it was because they stopped guarantying their food, and because they were going through so many formula changes.

Are you stuck only on the idea of feeding dry food?

Or are you open to other alternatives> say partial dry food, and partial premade raw, or your own homemade raw diet.

My youngest pup is now 2yrs old. During his growing phase, I had him on Innova LB puppy food, then Orijen LB puppy food. At around 13mnths of age or so, I switched him to Honest Kitchen's veggie/fruit/mineral de-hydrated pre-mix food that you simply add your own meat and water too to make a balanced meal.

His digestion rate increased 10-fold...that's when I decided he definitely would not be raised solely on dry dog food, irregardless of quality.

If it came down to it....which it might, due to economic reasons, I would put him back on minimal meal amounts of Orijen along with raw meals.

But right now he's eating a combination of RMB (raw meaty bones), grated veggies with some organ meats, ground turkey, beef heart, etc.

The overall price of feeding him Orijen versus raw really is no difference, but he does enjoy his meals much more due to actually being able to figure out just what to do with a raw chicken back.

IMHO, Timberwolf has awful customer service and coninituing quality issues. It's one I will say away from.

Timberwolf has a very good sale going on right now, it's worth checking out.

The thing I don't like about Timberwolf, their ingredients seem to constantly change at the drop of a hat. And 9 times out of 10, what's listed on their internet sight is not what's in the bag.

Actually they never guaranteed their food. They've switched formulas a number of times since they started out and now the formulas are grain heavy and include grains that were never there before. They've also put meat meals further down the ingredient list.  I used to sell TW and still have the original ingredient lists. The company is less than reputable, even on the "shady" side and the people that work there ( or did work there) were flakes and the customer service was either non-existant or sucked at best.  The price of the food is MORE than double what it was just 3 yrs ago and the quality has definitely gone down.  In fact... TOTW is actually now better than TW , better ingredient list and half the price. That's one of the main foods in my rotation now besides EVO, NV Instinct and Acana / Orijen.

That's because the product is going out of date.  They NEVER have sales on fresh product. It's always about to go OOD and sometimes already IS OOD. I learned that a LONG time ago.

I don't like the company at all; that's why I stopped feeding it.
