sensitive stomach food

I had really good luck with Purina Pro Plan Sensative skin and stomach.  Go with what works for your dog, not everyone thinks Purina is a great product.

I have good luck with many premium foods' "senior" formula, as usually they formulate them now so it's easy to digest. I've got my Lynn on Orijen Senior right now and have been very pleased.  She's got an extremely touchy tummy. I've also had good luck with Eagle Pack Holistic Senior. Many people find that Cal Natural works well for dogs with sensitive systems. I can't get it here unfortunately. Since I'd have to order it I go ahead and order the Orijen since you get more bang for the buck with that food.

Lynn didn't do well on the Purina SS but I know many people get good results with that food too. 

I recommend California Natural, Wellness Simple Solutions or one of the Natural Balance allergy formulas. All of those foods only have two main ingredients; a single meat and single carbohydrate.

My parent's Westie has one of the most sensitive stomachs on the planet and massive allergies to boot.  He totally turned around on California Natural fish & sweet potato.  He looks fabulous and acts at least five years younger.

 Coke has some tummy issue but everyone has been great on California Natural.

Lots of good suggestions so far.  Harry has a sensitive tummy, too, and he did well on the Natural Balance allergy foods, but he was just a wee bit heavier than I wanted him (high carb content in that food).  Plus the protein in it is on the low side, and so a few months ago I switched over to Orijen 6 Fresh Fish and he is doing very well on it.  He handled the transition well, too.  I think the worst I experienced was just a little gas at the beginning of the transition, but yogurt took care of that.  Small, solid poops, and no other digestive problems.  Now he's down from 66lbs to 60lbs and looks fantastic.  

I'd say you can start with this list and see what works best for your dog.  Not all dogs will do the same on all foods.  I know how frustrating it can be, so good luck!!

Ari does really well on any of the California natural kibbles.  Ari's stomach is notoriously "touchy" and California Natural has been a life saver for us! 

When lamb is the primary ingredient, it usually helps he digestive track.  Regretfully, many store bought dog foods have grain in them, and that can cause serious stomach problems.  Lamb is the easiest for a dog to digest, though my dogs enjoy chicken any day of the week.  I feed a grain-free dog food called "Taste of the Wild".  I do have one picky eater, and he refuses to eat any kind of dry food unless stuff is added, like canned food or eggs.  It is much easier just to give him a turkey neck or chicken leg/thigh.  These ingredients when fed with nothing on the side is called a raw diet.  It is good for the dog because they are natural carnivores. The raw bones are also very good for digestion, better breath, and clean teeth.  As long as the raw comes from a good place, like an organic store, you won't have any problems.  A raw diet isn't for every one, but I thought I would throw the option out there.
