If you can't find something here at dog.com, what is your favorite website for ordering food and/or other dog supplies?

Right now I'm looking for canned food since not a lot of places close to me carry a decent selection, but shipping is high on things like this.  Or supplements like fish oil that you give your dogs.  I've gone back through a ton of old threads because I remember someone mentioning a site that they use for XYZ but I couldn't find a lot of them.  So I thought this might be a good resource for where to get specific or specialty things.

I'm not sure that this is still the case, but used to be orders over $50 at Petsmart included free shipping.  Worth looking at.

I order my fish oil direct from Seapet. I get the "200" oil with vit e added in.

As far as food, I've only ordered from petfooddirect. It was quick, and when you catch them on sale, it's basically free shipping. I just discovered that they carry Emma's prescription food at 2/3 the price the vet sells it for.

This is what I'm looking for!  LOL.  We have some nice upscale small pet stores but they are all a good drive for us in the opposite direction we normally go, and petsmart/petco either don't carry good brands, or they do but it's like $2.50-$3 a can for something like Wellness.

I've found the easiest way to give the pup his pills (right now we're at 4 a day!) is to stick it in a small chunk of canned food.  Most other things he eats around it and spits it out.  AND -- I DO tell him it's going to make him better like Callie always suggests, but he ignores that :( So I don't mind paying a few dollars per can since it can last almost a week that way.... but honestly, I don't pay that kinds of prices for food *WE* eat!

I'm also nearly out of fish oil so I was looking for supplement sites just in case I want to buy online....

I get the dogs' Orijen from PetFoodDirect as well.  They have really fast shipping, and send me email reminders of when to order more (and they're always creepily on target, lol).  Jennie's right, they will have good rates on shipping, if not free, and they always send you coupons.  Even with shipping, I'm still paying less for the Orijen than I was paying at the store.

I've used Hearty Pet and was very pleased with the price and service - I got mine when they had a free shipping special

Check out www.SmartDiet1.net.  You can order up to 80 lbs of food for the same shipping price of 7.50.  The food is awesome.  My three pugs truly enjoy meal time.

I like K9 Cuisine.  Free shipping for orders over $50.  When you have nine dogs plus a foster and live 20 miles from the nearest pet stores, that's kind of a no brainer of a deal.  Big Smile I've only used them for canned food and treats so far but I'm getting ready to try some kibble to replace my emergency supply.

For most supplements I either use House of Nutrition or IHerb, and I also get my fish oil from Seapet.  I get my own fish oil supplement from Seapet too! Well, "Sea Starr" which is essentially the same thing - they even come in the same box. You can get Seapet brand fish oil from other places but not the super concentrated "Gold" liquid with the vitamin E.  For that you have to order direct from them.

Thanks Becca :)  I knew you told me of those before, but I had a hard time searching since I couldn't remember which thread it would have been on.  LOL.   $50 is an easy limit, that's for sure!
