My first dog show coming up soon...its the real thing (Sowilu)

I haven't been up here lately but I am back, it was a hecktick month but now it has settle.

I will be showing my first dog in March and I can't wait! I am so excited yet so nervous because I have never been to one. I will be showing Twister the 4 month old red aussie. I have been practicing onces a week because of work schedules but now I will be practicing more often as I want to get it right. Any advise/tips will be greatly appreciated!!

    Good luck and havefun!

Bring some painkillers for you, just incase the stress causes a headache or something like that.

Great idea! I will make sure I take some.

Where are you gonna be showing Twister?

I have my first dog show in March also! It's in Louisville KY.

My first real show is in March too!  Nikon's been in 4 shows but only for ribbons, he's too young to earn points.  Go figure our first show is the weekend BEFORE my conformation class starts.  It's actually five shows and I entered all five.

I will be showing in Raleigh, NC. Tracy says the farthest we can go is SC and Virginia because she can only take so many days of work plus she has her 4 other dogs at home. Twister is too young for the points too and this will be her second time showing I believe. I am going to show on a Wensday but I think Tracy might enroll me on Sat. too so I will be hopefully showing twice in the same week. I am really excited and looking forward to it.

Good luck!  Deep breaths and a positive attitude will help keep you and Twister calm.

I was just thinking about you the other day and it's great to see you back with exciting news.

    Thanks for the tip!

I am glad I'm back, I have been missing the place.

March is a popular month for many of us, I guess!  Kaiser will be going to his first conformation show in March, too!  Party!!!  Ours isn't until the very end of the month, though -- so you guys will have to share your stories first.  I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER.  There just aren't that many UKC shows within reasonable distance for us.  There have been a couple that I had to miss due to agility trial conflicts and the March 28-29 was the first date available to us that will also have other Klee Kai in attendance.  That's the tricky part with the more rare breeds -- making sure you have competition!!

    Buena Suerte to everyone!

I just got an email from Tracy and she says that this is the real deal and not a puppy match, that means more pressure but I can handle it! I am on the roll here the more I practice the more I feel secure. I am so ready for this.

I love your confidence!  That's a winning attitude and it doesn't matter if you get a ribbon or not, just keep that feeling and the rest will come.
