    Authority

I was at Petsmart yesterday and looked at dog foods. Authority looks pretty good to me, and affordable!(it's cheeper then Iams!) I bought a bag of there cat food for my kitties(again, cheeper then Iams!) and went to check out there dog food. Looks good! Lamb meal, chicken meal, or beef meal is the first ingredent. On some of them it does have just chicken or lamb or whatever as #1, but mostly meal. Any experience on it?

I tried to get my Mom to cave on it, she said no. I think I'm going to try and strike a deal with her on it, me buy one bag, she buys the next....that way she doesnt have to spend the $35 for 40lbs once a month....we can rotate months. Ya know?

Of the Authority foods, the only one I would consider would be the Harvest baked, or something like that.  The ingredients aren't stellar, but they are better than kibbles and bits.

Again, go over one aisle and check out the blue buffalo.  A 30 lb bag lasts me 8 days or more, and that's with almost 500 lbs of dog eating it.  it's nutrient dense and high cal, so you feed much less, and your dog will have far less to process out....far less poop to clean up.  No corn, wheat or soy, no grain glutens or fragments, no animal byproduct, no artifical anything.  It's a great food for a whole lot less money than many of the super premiums.  And if you have a tractor supply near you, it's even cheaper there.
