Switching to TOTW

    Switching to TOTW

Sandy is having a reaction to her food. She gets Nat. Cal. Chicken and brown rice.  So I've decided to put her on the fish based TOTW. But as I thought about it, Maze has the same allergy and she gets Herring and Sweet Potatoe. So instead of buying two different dog foods, I'm switching both of them the TOTW.

They already enjoy it since I brought home samples to try them on. I'm just glad my petstore carries these foods now!  Overall I'm spending the same amount with the new food then what I spent on two bags of two different kinds of the old stuff.. Now I just need them to finish the bags they've got now.. Lol..

I love TOTW. Well I mean my dogs do. It agrees with the boys 100%. Joker eats 2 cups a day and a chicken quarter and is at a perfect weight(even though he would say he was starving!!). Fynn gets 3 cups a day and a chicken quarter and his weight is great. It's the only food I have found that Lillie doesnt get burnt out on. I rotate between all 3 flavors.

I even have the cat on the kitty formula.Big Smile

I just wish it came in bigger bags. A 37lb bag of that only last me a week.

Thankfully 30lbs lasts my two a month. Stick out tongue  Our cat gets No Name dry and what ever wet I feel like buying. He does good on it and once he says other wise, I'll switch him to senior food.

     Opps I meant 30lb bag!

A 30lb bag used to last me a month. Then I got Fynn and somehow it only last a week.Huh? Now that JJ might be getting laid off I might have to switch to something cheaper. Which I really dont want to do. All the cheaper foods here have corn, gluten, wheat, etc.

Check out Healthwise. It's cheaper but it's still good. I used to feed Maze that when she was a puppy and before we figured out her allergies.

I just switched off totw pacific because my bichons and minpin didn't do well at all on it. Every dog is different. The bichons both got yeasty feet and lipfolds, one got a yeasty ear infection. And their tear staining came back very dark. The minpin had trouble digesting it. Funny, because I am doing the opposite of you, and put them on Cal. Nat and cooked chicken/rice for the time being.

Mine are doing well on 50/50 TOTW Fowl/Eagle Pack Holistic Chicken.  I've been contemplating switching to a less expensive food...with 3 large dogs; I'm buying new bags (16# each) every 9-10 days.  But, I really don't want to switch, so I'll do this as long as I can afford it.  I hate the thought of putting them on something of lesser value.
