    Native Dog Food

Has any one heard of native dog food and has any opinions on it? Cadey started having a breakout with her food she started itching really bad to the point she has bumps on her back and has chewed several spots on her tail until they bleed since Bf put her on purina dog chow. BF went and talked to his friend that breeds and shows pits she recommends Native dog food that it does well with all her pits. So we are going to pick up a bag to try it on her it is wheat, soy, and corn free. At least I'm getting Cadey off walmart food and now BF is going to finally start listening to me about dog food since we have two special need dog food dogs or the price we pay to feed our dogs.

    here is their website...

It looks to be a step up from Dog Chow. The barley and beet pulp are ingredients that can cause alergies too so if you continue to see the rash I would eliminate those ingredients next.

The ingredients look really average to me. It does have yeast as an ingredient though and I would personally stay away from that for a dog with any itching.

I think the overall performance of this food would be better than that of Dog Chow. It also has chelated minerals, which I seem to think produces really nice coats on my dogs. I wavered on trying Native actually, since there is a mill that makes it right near my in-laws. I'd try it, probably the price is decent.

Thanks for all your opinions on Native we didn't go with anyways did some searching on food later that night and found out our TSC carrys Blue. So now both are eating Blue and Cadey's hives are gone so is her itching. I'm just happy to have something so close it's higher then Canidae, but it helps not driving a hour way just to get dog food especially with both of them eating the same type of dog food.
