    Scout's 2nd Agility Class

This session only had 2 teams show up because of the lake effect snow and the roads were getting bad. We first ran a 24 obstacle course and then worked on certain sequences of it. Mind you, he has only been doing sequences since August and has been training on equipment since February. Denise, our instructor, was so impressed with him so far she gave the green light for us to start showing. She was smiling every time he ran. She was impressed with his sends and distance work for such a green dog. I mean, I would send him to a tire that was 10-15' away from there, I would send him to the DW some 20' ahead of me. I worked hard for independent contacts and weaves (that's still WIP) (Chloe pretty much has those inpendent as well). He is so handler focus to my body motion and he jumps very round like a BC. His 2020 work just kicks booty! Since he is so strong, his AF is fast. On the downward part, its three hops and he is down to his 2020.

The big plus is that he doesn't stress or care for the environment which means his is completely opposite of Chloe. He doesn't need toys for drive or to crank him up.

So now I am filling out the AKC ILP/PAL paperwork. This should work out nicely since Chloe just moved up to Open.

Sounds like you did some really great work with him at home!  Congratulations -- he sounds like a fun one to work with!  Good luck at your first trial!  Do you have the first trial date picked out yet?

Scout sounds like an agility rock star!  And having a dog that is so focused and not stressed with the environment must be fantastic!

First trial will be in January 2, 3, and 4. I am probably going to enter him on the last day.

Big difference between the two dogs! Scout is so drivey.
