Taste of the wild, few others?

Anybody feed this? Our local dog bakery now has a frequent buyer program. Orijen, nature's variety and TWO are just way too expensive. They have by nature, Taste of the wild, fromm, and before grain. I had never heard of before grain, but i picked up a sample and the boys loved it. Any feedback on these is mucho appreciated!

Before Grain is made by the Merrick company.  I've been using the cat food for my cats and they really like it.

I feed TOTW as part of my rotation. It's decent. My dogs coats get a little bit dull on it but the price is good so that is why I still feed it.

I am trying Lillie on it. She loves it so far. Feeders Supply here has a frequent buyer thing too. After you buy 12 bags of the same brand you get a bag free.

    I got a 30lb bag for 40 bucks.

Prancer's been eating the Pacific Stream TOTW kibble for about a month now.   She loves fish, so I'm not surprised that she likes it.  I switched from Natural Balance Fish & Sweet Potato after NB couldn't provide me with the complete nutritional analysis for the food.  TOTW had it the detailed spreadsheet to me by email in 15 minutes - I like them if only for that reason !

My dogs were on TOTW Pacific Salmon for a while and they did SO well on it.  Best food they've ever been on by far.  It was just too cost prohibitive for us to keep feeding, but that is my choice of food for them.

I thought it was a pretty good bang for the buck.  If I mainly fed kibble I'd probably use it full time.  The fishie variety got two paws up from Ben, no itchies or other reactions.  It wasn't quite as good as Core -- Ben looks almost as good as the 100% raw on Core - but pretty good for the money.

I feed TOTW to the boys, they enjoy it and look great. Legend also eats it really well

I had fed KayCee the TOTW  High Prairie and she loved it.  Then I switched her to the TOTW Wetlands--and she loved it.  honey is on the Welands version and loves it.    I did lose my KayCee to cancer 9 1/2 weeks ago--that is the bane of Golden Rtrievers--before I ever gave her the fish version.  One or two more bags of theWetlands and I am  going to try the fish formula on Honey.  She loves fish, so are sure she will love it.

I'm feeding Gingerbread Taste of the Wild Wetlands and he really likes it. That's saying a lot too because he's reeeally picky. Smile I'm very happy with the ingredients and protein/fat levels.

I've been feeding Mosby Taste of the Wild and he really likes it.  For the quality and I think the cost is pretty decent.

Harley has been through 2 bags of TOTW and is on his third.  He had a huge change in energy level and coat within a month of starting this food.  I was amazed that Harley was full of energy.  He really likes this food.  First we feed him the High Prairie, then the Wetlands and now we are trying the Pacific Stream.  This particular food is the only one he has been on that he eats enthusiastically.

    are just way too expensive

don't calculate your costs by the price per bag- you need to calculate by the price per kcal. Go Natural, for example, is VERY expensive per kcal. So is Wellness Core. Nature's variety prairie beef is much more economical than TOTW; TOTW fish formula, Nature's variety prairie salmon, and solid gold barking at the moon are all about on par. Nature's variety instinct rabbit is only slightly less economical than TOTW.  This assumes prices in my area, yours may differ.

The facts that it are (for me) grain free, a better food, and available locally as well as reasonably priced.  Besides Harley loves it and is doing the best on this food compared to the others we have tried( Timberwolf, solid gold, wellness to name a few).

Yes this is WAaaay more math than many of us want to do But I have to agree with MudPuppy !  I so the Barking at the Moon and my boys have never looked better, I can not get TOTW in my area but believe me I would if I could.  It is a solid (imho) kibble, no grains , no crud simple nutrition...   I supplement with Bwana Treats , homemade and all grain free... forget about the wolve thingy..I have yet to see a regular old dog seek out a field of corn to munch over a protien source.  Meat Dairy Eggs , the unholy trinity to a VEGAN but what a canrinvoire adores... when they add veggies and fruit it truly is the stuff I have watched my Ridgebacks mooch and steal.. blueberries , my entire crop of tomatoes, sweet potatoes and even regular potatoes. I have never seen a dog line up to chew wheat, rice or soy....  oatmeal ? well dump the sweet taters on it and we can talk.. barley ? a bit better ... Dogs , I think , know what they want... and they are not ashamed about it.  When my pups, unruly and radical charge the stove they do NOT go for the rice, ( unless it is covered in cheese) , they do not charge the bread... but if there is meat, fish , chicken, scrambled eggs, dairy or  potatoe salad  well we are sharing dinner with the Beasties tonight !!   Dogs love only a few fruits in my pack, my blueberries and blackberries ...gone the moment they are ripe!   My tomato plants ? sheesh , grown just for the  dogs I think, I speant about 57.00 for 2 tomatoes.    Leave a pot of oatmeal they are on it... leave a loaf of bread rising and you have a very , very sick dog!!   Hmmm tell me something.... what about you??? Of course my dogs can eat road kill without issue but soy the Vegan's delight?   Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas city ! Peeeeeuuuuhhhhhh!!!    Fart Bounce I expect the EPA to storm the dog house and bust all of us for global warming !!
