This weekend was Luke's one year anniversary of trialing. It's been a very fun year for us, but also a bit stressful when he was injured in July (frisbee) and unable to train or compete until December!! I was worried that he was finished with agility before he was ever really able to get going.
Well, this weekend was full of achievements for Luke! He earned his Novice Hoopers title (a new class in NADAC), his Elite Proficient Tunnelers title and his Open Chances title -- the Open Chances was the last Q that he needed to earn the Open Versatility Award! We have been working towards that for some time now and had the hardest time getting that last Open Chances Q. It feels like such a relief to have it done with finally!
So now, one year into trialing, Luke is an Elite dog in every class. He's back in the 20"+ Proficient class and doing fine with the height, so we're on our way to earning our NATCH. It has been an exciting year for us and I look forward to what's to come!
Hopefully one of these days I'll manage to steal the video camera from my parents and get some of our runs put on the internet!
