I am so thrilled, my health is finally coming back and I am able to play with my dogs along with teaching again!!! It's been a long winter of bed rest, blood transfusions and so many tests and proceedures it wasn't funny including not one but two bone marrow tests. And yep they are just as nasty as everyone says they are.
Last week, I took Petie on the spur of the moment to a Rally fun match, we haven't done Rally or practiced in over a year (only took an beginners 6 wk course). He was a bit distracted in the first class but got a score of 187......our next class I had him a lot more focused on me and our score was 195, I was very happy with the evening. Very pleased for our first ever Rally event.
This past Sunday my hub moved a bunch of my equipment to the indoor arena. Last night I ran my first class in months, it felt great to be teaching again, it was a Masters class so it was pretty easy compared to working with beginners etc.
I ran Petie on some distance work and gambles, he was awesome and having a great time!!!!!!!!!! I am also planning on going to a friends (she is an instructor) gamble clinic this weekend...........she knows the road I have travelled this winter and knows that I am trying to make a come back and offered for me and Petie to join the clinic without notice, that she'll make room for us. So awesome to have such great friends in the agility world, they have kept me from going insane this winter.
Now we have to work at getting me and him into condition because we are entered in the AAC Ontario Regional Championships next month (yikes lol). I don't care how we do, just glad that it appears at this point that we can go...............
I can't not believe how much my muscles have atrophied, not even much normal muscle there at all, walking is a chore but running will come with some work. Baby steps lol.
