I realize the recall will have many people switching over home cooked meals for thier dogs. I would really like to learn more about this and I have found alot of interesting information on this website and on other websites however alot of the information seems to be conflicting in some cases regarding the proper ingredients and best way to ensure good nutrition.

I am hoping some of the experts here could point me in the direction of authoritative information regarding the subject as I seem to be getting more confused the further I look.

Me too. I find it a bit overwhelming. I wish there was just one basic recipe everybody could agree on so I can start off with something easy and build from there.

I've been home cooking my 2 dogs food for about a month now and here's the site I used to gauge what to cook for them. They love everything I've made so far and the vet said they're healthy. You just have to pay attention to food allergies in your dog. Before I knew corn wasn't easily digested by dogs I had been putting it in and noticed them both itching a lot. I saw something about corn a day or so later and stopped adding it and they seem to be fine. Anyway, here's the site you can check out. Good luck!
