YEAY! Trudy got her first Q!

Just gto back from our first obedience trial ever.  Trudy got her first Q and a 3rd Place ribbon.  I was mostly impressed with her ringside behavior.  She started being her usual wild, social butterfly self when we got there, but simmered down to a well behaved young lady.  We actually missed the first trial because I was certain that I didn't have to be there as early as I should have been, but we had plenty of time to just acclimate, so it was a good thing.  Actually, I don't know whether she would have much left to do another test well today.  We was pretty tired on the way home.

I have lots of work to do on her heeling skills, though...and my handling skills. I lost her a few points because of some handling mistakes that I made.  All of the rest was absolutely wonderful.

    I am so pumped.

Great job.  Sometimes I think that the first leg is the hardest to get.

[sm=headbang2.gif]Rock on!  (okay, maybe I just wanted to use that smiley.  But really, rock on!)

Two more green ribbons and you'll be bragging about a title.

Thank you!  This has really motivated me to get out there and work on her attention heeling.  We are not in a hurry, so I want her title to really reflect he ability.  I also want to make this as positive as possible and not over train.[sm=whip.gif]     She was absolutely whacked when we got home (so was I).

The biggest plus for me was her general good behavior at the dog show.   It was a conformation show, too and there were dogs all over the place.  After her initial silliness, she was great!  Her Q and ribbon where just absolutely delicious frosting on a wonderful cake.

But than Trudy suprises me all the time.  [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]
