Sure.  "Clicking With Your Dog" by Peggy Tillman.
    "The Ultimate Puppy Toolkit" (www.premierpet.com)
Anything from this site: www.dogsbestfriendtraining.com, especially "Way to Go - How to Housetrain a Dog of Any Age".

Don't forget to socialize your puppy to anything you want him to tolerate when he is grown up.  New and different people, dogs, puppies, little dogs, big dogs, umbrellas, automatic doors, sunglasses, uniformed people, wheelchairs, etc.  The optimal socialization window is from 8-12 weeks.  At nine weeks, some pups pass through a "fear imprint" period.  Just make sure he has no really scary things happen at that point.
Unfortunately, the thing that classes provide, that you will miss, is the socialization with other puppies.  This helps teach a dog to inhibit his bite, and it helps tire the pup so that he is less likely to nip you as well.

For basic, new-to-puppies, I really think Mother Knows Best by Carol Lea Benjamin is a handy toolbook to start with, too.

Brian Kilcommons just came out w/a puppy training book called My Smart Puppy - comes w/a DVD in the back.  I met him last night at the bookstore and got a copy to check it out.  Has anyone else read it yet?  [linkhttp://www.mysmartpuppy.com/about/brian-kilcommons.html]http://www.mysmartpuppy.com/about/brian-kilcommons.html[/link]

do a search for a website called Holly's Den.  Great puppy program outlined including homework...lots of support materials,,,, good description of canine learning and how to use management and reinforcement strategies to get the most out our dog.
