Here is my story first of all [link

Well, my 17 week old Lab/Coonhound was given his certificate of passing the initial puppy obedience class (not everyone was given one). I was very proud.
His final exam was to sit in front of me, come in to my side and sit, then stay and have me walk a few feet away, have him come and sit right in front of me on call.
Well, as some of you may know, my dog is no angle and has been a very difficult experience raising him. So here's how our final went:
I got Kobi to sit in front of me and do a shake (i taught him that out of class ), "get in" (sit beside me). Then i walked clear to the other side of the training room, where most owners could only walk a few feet (10ft max) and called him to me ("Come Kobi!!"
;). Kobe left his still sitting position and ran all the way past all the other dogs and owners clear across the 'arena' and sat right in front of me, we did a high five (also taught out of class) and finished our final. Both the trainers and other owners were amazed. We got the loudest ovation because everyone know what a struggle Kobi has been. It was a great feeling. The last two classes I have had trainers and other owners alike coming up to me to say how good Kobi has been.
What a great feeling. Just thought I'd share, especially to those of you who know my story. [link
