• Margaret Tyler Posted : 7/18/2006 10:40:44 AM Merrick is in my dogs rotation of food (I don't feed him the same all the time).  I like Merrick.  Have had good results with it, but there are alot of people on this forum that do not like it because it was recalled 2 years ago due to dogs getting sick on it because it was packaged incorrectly and some ingredient flaws. I work for a pet product distributor that carries it and I know that Merrick has made some significant changes to improve their food and I have not had a problem with it since. Also willowchow personally found a peice of plastic in a can and a shipping staple in another can. I had been feeding my puppies Evolve ([linkhttp://www.evolvepet.com/]http://www.evolvepet.com/[/link]) because that's what the breeder used. But I could only get it on the internet and sometimes I wouldn't get it in time and their food would be gone and then I'd have to get something else so I switched. • jennie_c_d Posted : 7/18/2006 6:20:57 PM I've not tried Evolve, but I am about to order some of their canned duck formula. I've tried Merrick's canned foods, and the dogs liked them and did fine with them. I did mush them into itsy teensy bitsy peices, looking for foreign stuff.
