Sweet Potato Chews

I found some sweet potato chews at the plac where I buy my dog food today. I bought a small bag to try out b/c they looked like they are pretty healthy for the dogs and this place has a lot of really good stuff, including food.

Has anyone else tried them? Any warnings I should know about?

I am really excited b/c they had some canned venison and rabbit evo for us to try too!

I've tried them. My badsenjis LOVE sweet pot's. So I give them the chips. Tri-ing is in his xpen and I leave for a few hours. When I come home, there are little chewed up pieces in his "room". Next day, there are fewer and smaller chewed up pieces. It took a few days, but he eventually finished up all those chewed up pieces. (Of course this is how he eats carrots too, but I usually pick up the carrot pieces and throw them away.)

I have been using the beef canned Evo and Willow likes it very much.

I was disappointed they put chicken and turkey together. She can't have chicken but we would been regulars for the turkey. I wrote them and never heard back.

My girls loved these so much, I made them myself. I had a dehydrator, so I just sliced the potatoes thin and put them in the dehydrator. They love them!

My dogs LOVE sweet potato chews, whether I make them or buy them.

They don't last long, but they absolutely adore them.

Hmmm we got the chip kind and Bailey pooped solid pieces of orange every time. I sopped giving it to them. They are supposed to be really healthy... I cant figure out why whole chunks come back out.

The same thing happened to my dog. I think she was not chewing thoroughly, but swallowing big peices.

Almost the same thing happened when Mick had htose chews, which btw, he absolutely loved. Anyway, I found small pieces of the chews in Mick's poop. I figured he hadn't chewed them all the way.

Even still shouldnt they digest them? Or big chunks wouldnt be digested?

Winston loves the Dr something brand, but yes they sometimes come out in his poop in chunks, I've discovered that if you let them air dry out a bit, they get tougher to chew, and so the pieces are smaller... I think they are healthy as the chunks that come out in poop are soft, not hard and rubbery.
