I would also like to know what you think.  I am looking for a vitamin to feed my puppy.  I noticed the ingredients and I was wondering whether Fish Oil was important, cause I don't see that listed here.

Also, my vet sells Pettabs and I'm wondering about them also.  Has anyone tried them.

    Thanks in advance

Personally I dont like multivitamins.  I never have... and when I was working with Callie to get Bailey her suppliments she said the same thing.

If you know exaclty what you want to suppliment for its better to use specific ones so you can control what and how much they are getting... and you generally give more than a multi would include.

Your multi you have listed for example say 1IU of vitamin E.  I dont think thats enough to ake a difference to be honest.  Same with the C.  I could be wrong.

Zinc is not something you should give long term.  A few weeks and then stop.

Bailey gets 10,000mg of Vit A 2x a day, 400IU of E 2x per day.  500mg of C 3x per day.  I am treating her for demodex so I think Ive got her doubled of what a normal dog would need.  It worked though... she looks great, youd never know she had demodex at all.

A normal dog whos skin and coat you want to suppliment would need more like 200IU vit E 2x a day, 2,000-4,000mg of vit A 2x a day.

    Fish oil is very important.

Another thing is you want to give these suppliments 2x a day to make sure they stay in the body all the time.  I just dont think multis are worth it.[sm=2cents.gif]

Well, I'm no expert on this but I do use them.

My vet said they couldn't hurt since Willow doesn't always eat the right things or even enough of them sometimes.  I've used PetTab, those were really easy to feed and the vet did say they were fine.

I've also used WellTabs, currently we've got something from 21st Century Pet Nutrition which is at Petsmart.  They are easy to crumble into food.  I've also used Missing Link and Wellness makes a powder supplement too.

I switch around a lot.  I do the same thing with my own vitamins.

I usually give them with her meals so their is no upset stomach.  I know some of them do that to me too on an empty stomach.

PS--Recently I read that Foster Smith has a new multi vitamin out.  I'm going to order that too.  Supposedly really good.
