Bok Choy - how to serve it my dog?

I keep hearing that bok choy is really good for dogs, but how do you prepare it?
Sauteed? Boiled?  Raw?  Cooked then pureed????

What about other vegetables??  Is it good to supplement with veggies?

I would puree, or steam then puree.  I understand it is an excellent source of many vitamins.  It's too expensive here in the land of collard greens, which are almost as good, so I've never used it for my dogs.

Another food I wish I could get cheap is avocado.  We had an avocado tree in CA, I'd do something desperate for the ability to have one in my little orchard now.  Won't grow in my part of the world, sadly. [:(]

I feed all sorts of cooked/canned veggies. Beets, peas, carrots, applesauce and the dogs go wild for them. Maybe I'll try some greens. Sounds interesting.

If I remember right, bok choy  is a dark leafy green veggie that comes in a *head* - like lettuce only a different shape.  I think I used to buy that to feed the turtle DGS used to have.

Bok Choy is an Asian vegetable, very leafy, with a bulb like look.  The bottoms are juicy, and the tops are leafy.  I can not think of any other vegetable like it.  There is baby bok choy with the light green leaves and the regular ones with the dark green leaves.  I happen to own a Chinese restaurant so I have access to it, I just didn't know how to use it.  Everytime we stop by the restaurant and we have Winston, all the chefs come running out with pieces of roast pork, chicken, beef - he is sooo spoiled......I guess that comes with the territory of being in a restaurant family.  I'm so glad I never have to make rice at home...we have an endless supply.....but I tried to give him some steamed chicken and didn't realize that the corn starch/egg white mixture that they marinate the chicken in didn't agree with his tummy.  Now he gets unadulterated boiled fresh chicken prepared by a real chef...lol....

Bok Choy is an Asian/Chinese vegetable.  You can find them in many asian grocery, especially in Chinatown.  Their not expensive, shouldn't be but it depends.  Chinese have alot of unique vegetables that many people haven't even heard of.  JJ's grandma would sometimes cook them with noodles.  You could boil, steam, fried, mix and etc.  Cook them in anyway you like, as you cook any vegetables.  [;)]

I steam it when i give it to my dogs.

Kay it's that vegie that shrivels up in the steam of the wok after a minute or so.Thats what i think of when i think bok choy, and it's yummy,we have it all the time in stir fry's.[:D]

Bok choy reminds me of cabbage.

My dogs LOVE it. I usually boil or steam, then mash or puree their veggies. Unfortunately, bok choy is expensive, and hard to find, here.

Avocadoes make me sad. I hate paying up to $3 for ONE.... But I LOVE LOVE LOVE avocado....

Ykui can juice it, add the juice back in and feed it that way.

If no juicer - chop it up and put it in a blender with a liquid (I use a raw egg).  Puree and then feed.

If you feed it whole it will most likely come back out in almost the same format. :)  You need to break down the cells walls in order for the dog ot get at the nutrients.
