    Sounds good to me.
We were told my a nutritionist that we might be causing an unbalance to Ollies system  and causing worse problems with his allergies when we were giving him vitamins, so we thru them away.

Yeah, I'm thinking if she's getting kibble, what do we need the vitamins for??  It's supposed to be complete and balanced, right??

Sounds good to me. I'm glad she likes it and is doing well.

I dunno.  A few months ago Clean Run had a two part article on nutrition written by a DVM.  He suggested that dog being fed kibble should get 4 things.

    A multi vitamen
Salmon oil (he suggested Grizzly Salmon Oil)
    Glucosamine/Chondrotin Sulfate
Probiotics - fed on occasion (I believe he suggested once a month or 4x a year, I forget)

    So I did that.

Who knows is right!!!!    But Ollie was having allergy problems galore when GDL told me we might just be making it worse. Going into her website to see exactly what she says under the catagory of allergies, she has a list of things that cause allergies and here is a couple:
  • Over supplementing with vitamins, minerals and oils.
  • A disruption of a balanced kibble by adding vitamins, minerals and human foods
  • An unbalanced Omega 6:3 Ratio (when owners start adding oils to an already balanced diet.)

Years ago a fellow told me that the best way to keep your dog healthy was with 3 things every day!  1. A good oil  2.  Vit C  3.  a raw egg!     I do 2 out of 3.   I also give our Danes probiotics with every meal.   Having a Dane that is prone to Bloat is a mighty scary thing and I'm hoping to prevent it!

Well, I don't know about needing a multi-vitamin if they are getting kibble.  Why would they need that if the food is already all set.  I can see adding gluc/cond or oils for skin if needed because probably the food wouldn't have enough to make a difference if there was a problem.

I don't know, she's got to have some blood drawn so I'll see how she's doing and take it from there.  I know she's not going to eat straight kibble and I don't want to have to worry about her nutrition.  But, it's ridiculous, there are two answers for everything it seems.
