You will notice that the dog has molars that are capable of some grinding/crushing/chewing. If it didn't, how could it "chew"/"grind"/"crush" bones? Even with these teeth, you still must consider the total GIT.
Cats (obligate carnivores) don't typically eat/chew large bones. They just can't break them up (chew/grind/crush). They will eat smaller softer bones however. Take a look at their teeth.
