I tried a bag of it once, and it made my dog GROSSLY gassy!

Hmm, Authority isnt very good, I think you'd be better off feeding Eukanuba, if your looking for something in the same price range. If you can afford a more expensive food, Im sure the members here can give u a list of really great foods.

But just remember: If your dog is doing great on it, dont fix what isnt broken and just let it be

That 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' line really bugs me[:-] We are talking about dogs, not cars [;)]
Often times when something has broke it is too late to fix it anyway, when a body part, kidneys, liver etc shows itself to be broke it is often in the late stages and is too far gone to fix! I would rather not wait till something has broke before i decide to try and fix it.Prevention is better than cure as they say,i try and prevent these diseases from happening by having my dogs on an A1 food from the beginning, which Authority and eukanuba are not!

Hi please notice when you buy your Authority that they also make a Baked formula which I have seen on the best dog food lists mentioned here.  Its better than the regular Authority formula.  It is the Petmart brand of food.

I feed my puppy Chicken Soup for the Large Breed Puppy Lover's Soul.  I like the high-quality ingredients, plus it has no corn, wheat, soy, or beef.  Roxie loves the taste, too!  I definitely recommend it.

It'd be better than what you're feeding now, so this is my two cents.

there are plenty of other foods that also have beet pulp in them. we feed blackwood to both our dogs (amelia gets bw 3000 and sydney gets bw 2000), and it has beet pulp in it and it is on the [linkhttp://www.greatdanelady.com/articles/criteria_list_of_better_foods.htm]great dane lady's list of better dog foods[/link]. this isnt necessarily the best way to control runny poop though.

if petsmart is the place you like to buy your pet supplies check out blue buffalo dog food. it is on the whole dog journal's list of approved foods for 2006. good luck with your food search.
