Nu Vet Plus, Welltabs, and Nzyme Treats- opinions?

I've been giving Gingerbread Nzymes Antioxidant treats to boost his immune system (hopefully helping with allergies). I'm trying to decide whether to re-order those when I run out, or try a different supplement. The ones that looked best to me were Nuvet Plus and Welltabs.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with those supplements and/or opinions. Here are websites for all 3, thanks in advance!

Personally, by looking at advertising its hard to tell.   They all make theirs sound the best.
How long has Gingerbread been on Nyzmes?  Long enough to tell if it has helped? If not, I think you need to stick with it long enough to see SINCE you are already on it.    If after a few months you don't think you have seen an improvement, then it seems more correct to change to another.  I think it would be hard to figure out which is helping without keeping her on it for a few months.  Usually things like that take a while before showing an improvement.  AT least that is my opinion.

I used to use the NuVet tabs, but they got more and more expensive. I think they're ridiculously priced and personally, I didn't see any sort of improvement in my dogs.

I just use a human antioxidant formula (one without vitamin A) with great success.  Cheap and seems to help.  I've got one dog that has problems detoxing after hard exertion - it's a problem in his line (yes he's neutered [;)]).  He actually got oxidation scarring on his retina - the vet who discovered this recommended the antioxidants - and not allowing him to get too hot while working in the future.  He's also got mild CHD so it helps that, too.

Dyan- He's only been on the Nzymes a few weeks, so I guess you're right that I should wait and see how it works first! I guess I'm both a. and impatient person and b. always searching for the BEST, rather than sticking with one thing. I'm going to work on that though! [:)]

Shamrock Mommy- I thought the same thing about the price, it's definitely the most expensive supplement that I've come across so far. I figured that if it worked really well then it's worth it.

Brookcove- That's interesting that you use a human supplement. Is it a chewable?

I honestly think if you switch now you won't know if Nzymes are doing any good, and then you won't know if another would be better. I think you need to stick with one for a few months before trying another. Honestly!

I'm going to stick with it; I have about a 3 1/2 month supply since Gingerbread is so small. Thanks for the advice, [:)] I don't know why I always have ants in my pants! [&:]

    edited for bad math!

I ALSO have ants in my pants,,,and nothing bothers me more than waiting,,,,BUT sometimes we just have to.  Trouble is, you change now you will never know if this is the answer,,it will be like starting over....and then you have to wait even longer.   Believe me, I fell into that with things more than once.   LOL!
Good luck and make sure to let us know,,,
