    Ripped bag

Well I'm really mad at myself.  Pay day was this week,,,I went to buy Bubby more Eagle.  I decided to get her two bags and she will be okay for over a month,,,checked the bags and they are good until  2007,, and they will be gone pretty much in a month and a half.  I've been feeding her two different formulas so that is why I bought her two. So when I get home I am struggling to bring in two 33 # bags of kibble, and I get them in the living room to get them in the basement where it is cool,...and I notice a couple kibbles on the floor. Here the bag had a little hole in it.  I didn't notice it in the store, but then I struggled getting both of the bags into the cart, and then the cashier struggled finding the bar code to scan it,,,,so between the two of us, we probably put the hole in the bag, although I probably put it in all my myself.  So I hate this because now it can't stay fresh.  I am so mad because to begin with I didn't even think to get the coupon off of Eagle Packs website, and I go and spend $70 of food......then rip the bag.  Wondered what you guys though,,,I hate to put it in a plastic garbage bag because they say the toxins...in the bags....      I do have a Rubbermade container..but I can't see where that keeps it really fresh.   Wondered if you guys had any ideas!!

If it is a small hole, can you cover it with like a piece of tinfoil, then some plastic wrap over that and tape the entire wrap with that wide tape?

    Duct tape maybe?

I think the container would be OK...will it fit in there bag and all?  I have some containers that were made for dog food, but the lids don't fit on tightly, and my dog food stays fresh ...at least no one has gotten sick from it!

duct tape will work because it will cause a good seal...

Thanks guys!  I have heavy plastic tape and was able to pull the bag together and tape it and I will put it in the Rubbermade container. Yes Marty, the container I believe is made for dog food...it fits my 33# bag.
