    Nature's Variety canned manufactured by?

Does anyone have an e-mail or something written by Nature's Variety saying where their canned food is made? I thought they were made by Menu Foods, but I want to know for sure who makes their foods. I e-mailed them a little while ago, but I figured it could be days before I hear back from them... Thanks in advance!

I don't have an e-mail from them, but have you checked out this site---started sortly after the recalls started: [linkhttp://thepetfoodlist.com/]http://thepetfoodlist.com/[/link]

    • Brands include Nature's Variety, Nature's Variety Prairie, and Nature's Variety Raw Instinct.
    • Canned foods made by Menu Foods but not involved in the recall.
    • Dry foods are outsourced, but not by Menu Foods.
    • Frozen and freeze-dried raw foods are made in house.
    • All grains used are of US origin, except flax seed, which they get from Canada.
    • No wheat gluten is used in their products, or in the plant that manufactures their dry foods.
    • There is no rice protein concentrate used in any of our Nature#%92s Variety diets (kibble, cans, or raw). Furthermore, rice protein concentrate is NOT used anywhere within the kibble manufacturing facility. (from website 4/18/07)

Thank you Kelly! I had a feeling you would be the one with a link; you do a great job of keeping up with that stuff!

Anyway, I actually feel alright about their canned being manufactured by Menu since it's AN that added rice protein to grain free foods and with Menu the problem was with foods that had fractionated grains.

Be careful using [linkhttp://thepetfoodlist.com/]http://thepetfoodlist.com/[/link] for information on who makes what for whom.  That kind of information is reported BY the company, and has on more than one occasion been wrong during this mess (*cough*baldfacedlies*cough*)
