Dog foods -- where to buy..?

Most of you have probaby read over and over again that I'm trying to look for a good dog food to switch to, well I found a couple and none of them are sold in stores by where I live. I was considering getting Artemis because they have a puppy small breed and an adult small breed (I figure it wouldn't hurt Tj to eat it since he's suppose to be only 15lbs.) Petco doesn't show that they sell it on their site ..and the only other pet supply store I have is called UPCO and I doubt if Petco doesn't have it, neither will they. I was thinking Arthemis, Innova or lastly California Natural. They sell none of these and I really don't want to order online because of the shipping. Are their any cheap dog food sites that sell these? Also what about Canidae.. I read someone said it's much like Artemis but cheaper.. but I didn't see a puppy/adult formula. Is it for all types and is that healthy? I don't think Petco sells that either though.. [&:]

Canidae is ALS( All Life Stages) you can feed it to puppies.

The major stores Like Petco and Petsmart will not sell those brands, you will have to go to a feed store most likely.

The websites will have a "locations" area and click on that and put in your zipcode and they will tell you who sells it near you.

I know Timberwolf Organics goes Free Shipping if you order from their site, but I'm not sure any other companies do that

I would try Timberwolf Organics.  I just switched my dogs to their Ocean Blue formula and they love it.  I haven't been using it long enough to notice any health improvements/coat changes yet though.  The free shipping is nice, they also have a variety pack of samples to try.

I use TWO for my little dog, and the kibble size is nice and small, and even my picky little bugger enjoys it. The free shipping is actually what convinced me to try it.

Thanks on that! It is also ALS too right? I think that is what I really liked about the Artemis because sometimes Chico would find kibbles of the adult dog food on the floor or if they had it and dropped it, he would run and snatch it ..and having a food they could all eat would be much easier. TWO sounds like a good choice.

Now the only question is.. Ocean Blue or Southwest Chicken & Herbs (The dogs love chicken!) ..I didn't find the variety pack? Maybe I missed it. [&:]

Sorry, I just looked again and I cannot find the variety pack either.  They must have removed it.  As far as Ocean Blue or Chicken and Herbs...I don't really know which would be better.  Maybe someone else can help you with that.  Oh, and their food is ALS.

Right now, I feel most comfortable sticking with a grain-free food like wild 'n natural or ocean blue. I figure it's minimizing the chances of contamination if there are no grains (which so far have been the only culprits) in the food. Now all I can do is hope that TWO is being honest with their ingredients list.

[:)] Thanks both of you. I might just get a 4lb bag of both and try them.. I'm really excited for this change and I'm sure our local shelter will be thankful for all the food donations they'll be getting. lol.

If you llve in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota or Iowa I know of a place that carries all Natura Products (Cal Natural, Innova, etc.) and ships for free to those states.

Unfortunately I live in Missouri.. but I do have this one supply store that might carry it. I highly doubt it. I only have two pet supply stores in my area and we haven't even had our Petco that long. Never the less I'm sticking with trying TWO.
