    Timberwolf people

My stepdaughter has a Chihuahua that is eating California Natural Lamb and Rice right now. She wants to switch to a grain free food. The two choices are Timberwolf Ocean Blue or Wild and Natural. I have not feed my dog either one of these formulas so I don`t know which one would be the best to feed her little dog.

I think either would be fine! I know Chewbecca loves the Ocean Blue, and I love the Wild 'n Natural. I love how it smells - I can't really describe it, but it's great.

The Wild and Natural is a very small kibble and has a lot of calories per cup, so you would feed less of it.  Also, the protein and fat are higher.  Oceans Blue has protein and fat levels more in line with other foods as well as calories.  I think the W&N is the better of the two, but every dog is different.  You might start with the OB and see how it goes and then try the W&N.  Also the OB is fish, potato, with fruits and vegetables while the W&N contains poulty, fish, potato, with egg and milk in case allergies are an issue.

nothing wrong with alternating between the two.

This is true, but if she has a chi, then the wild & Natural is the PERFECT size. It's REALLY small.

Cita is right. Ella loves the Ocean Blue and does well on it when I add homecooked or give her prozyme.

One more question. What size kibble is the Ocean Blue? She may want to rotate between the two as suggested. I have only used the Dakota Bison and Lamb and Apple so far myself.

When I last used OB (3 months), the kibble was the same as the Bison.

When I used Ocean Blue (not for long... bad allergies, around here), it was a bit smaller than Natural Balance kibble. My dogs haven't ever had a problem with kibble size.
