Does anyone have experience with this food? What do you think?

I have tried that for my Golden Retriever and the Doodledog ... They didn't like it much, and that's something remarkable to say, Dixie the Golden will eat darn near everything with gusto... The stuff had a weird smell to it, it smelled OLD.. never bought it again.

Edited to add: they loved the treats and bisquits..

The ingredients look reeeeally good EXCEPT for the barley, the second ingredient.... and menadione bisulfite The protein level is great too, but I wouldn't feed it because of the barley and menadione. The fat % is about half of what I've seen in other high protein foods.

I wonder *which* vegetable oil?? The menadione being there would be enough to stop me from using it, but aside from that the fat content is way too low for my dogs. I realize that some dogs need lower fat though, but mine do better at around 16%.

Cloudstar is included in the Whole Dog Journal's top approved dry dog foods. I was considering the holistic kibble - a baked food - but it is a much higher price point (about $33 for 20lbs plus shipping) than others i was considering, such as California Naturals, Chicken Soup for the... and Canidae.
