    Just looking for opinions on this food, my friend from the NW feeds it. I went to their website and it is around $70 for a 40 lb bag. $$

    So they call it 'Raw Food Layered on Wholistic Kibble ' Looks like it comes in Buffalo, beef, and chicken

    Here are the ingredients for their Buffalo Diet:

    Freeze Dried Buffalo, Freeze Dried Buffalo Liver, Freeze Dried Ground Buffalo Bone, Bok Choy, Inulin, Green Tripe, Mixed Baby Sprouts
    Full Spectrum Chelated Minerals, Coral Calcium + 74 Trace Minerals, Vitamins, Active Probiotics, Active Enzymes, Enclosed in Salmon OIl.
    Wholistic Kibble
    Buffalo Meat, Whole Barley, Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherals), Kelp, Flaxseed, Egg, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberries, Blueberries, Suncured Alfalfa Meal, Peas, Parsley, Garlic, Artichoke, Fennel, Rosemary

    They say how much better buffalo is than beef and how dogs have had no known reactions to it- but isn't the green tripe from beef?  They usually specify if the tripe is from another source other than beef.
     
    This looks good, but I think a lot of it is just marketing- and very good marketing!  Nature's Variety makes the same claims and they also coat their dry kibble with raw food ingredients.
    Barley has gluten- this probably isn't a good diet for a sensitive dog, but if your dog doesn't have any allergies/ sensitivities/ immune issues and you don't mind the inflated price, why not give it a try?
