    The gaseousness has declined

So the dogs are being switched over to solid gold's barkign at the moon from Cal. Nat chicken/rice.  Anyway, I have these rubbermaid dog food bins that hold 9lbs.  I mixed 25% BATM to 75% Cal. Nat.  It's going to be gone in a day or so and then I'll do 50/50 and 75/25 and then 100% batm.
ANyway, I'm already noticing decreased gas! It's SO much nicer!
Thought I'd share. Poops are looking fine from what I can tell watching them go from out the window- it's icy and snowy and so I don't much feel like scooping at the moment.
    A very small update.

You know -- over the years I have tried and tried and tried all the Natura products - I so wanted to feed them - but always came the gas. Worse on some dogs than others, but enough that changing the diet was a must. Darnit. I love the looks of the food, the company, the people, etc...and would love to feed it. They do have some new formulas (fish for one) that I have not tried....maybe one more time?? What is up with the gas production I wonder?

Cherokee's never had a gas problem (she passes gas so little that she still, at 8 1/2 years old, WHIPS her head around to see what the heck made that noise! [sm=lol.gif]), so she's not a good gauge I guess, but she's eaten many Natura products (Evo, Innova, Evo RM, CA Natural..) with no problem. But when my sister and her dog first moved in with me in September, I bought Evo RM for her dog, and WHEW! He could easily clear a room. I made my sister stick it out for a few weeks, to see if it got better, but it didn't. He also didn't have firm poop without adding canned pumpkin. He's now eating regular Innova with no problems, so I don't know if it was the red meat, lack of grains, high protein, whatever, but something made him horribly gassy.

Yeah, my one older guy, he LOVED the EVO, stools were fine, but the poor guy also cleared the room. And this is a dog that never had gas (cept on other Natura prods in the past). So I knew something was buggin him. And I switched him cold turkey to a new food, the gas was totally gone. I have yet to fine anyone locally that stocks the Barking At the Moon. Would like to try it.

My dog didn't have gas on Evo RM but her poops were rarely firm.  I didn't try adding pumpkin or anything.  No problems with Barking At the Moon however which is primarily salmon meal.  Consistently firm and low odor.

Mine have never been on a fish product before, so I'm really excited to see how they do.  It's way time for a change. They've been on chicken products forever.
