Opinions on dog food?

• Opinions on dog food? justine_lim Posted : 10/26/2006 11:42:30 PM This is just sort of 'out of curiosity...' Cyrus won't be switched off his current diet anytime soon.   Has anybody tried feeding their dog(s) Kirkland? We were at Costco the other day, and I did not get a chance to look at the ingredient list, but I did notice that for a bag of that size, the price was more than reasonable.   I have heard people say that their dogs did well, or reasonably well on Kirkland. • momoftwo Posted : 10/28/2006 8:26:11 PM Hi We've rotated with the Kirkland brand and honestly I have to say  its just an okay food.  My mastiff got a rather greasy coat after a while on it and produced body odor .  The plus side is there was no gas and fairly good stools and he ate it with gusto but really I just didn't like his coat while eating this food. He also seemed lethargic (even for his usual couch potato mastiff self)  I was so excited at first that I found this reasonably priced food that I thought was right up there and that everyone else was just wasting money on higher priced food but I was wrong.  It may be worth a try for you as every dog reacts differently to foods but mine does better on something else. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
