Joey ate 1/2 a bag of treats

• Joey ate 1/2 a bag of treats Margaret Tyler Posted : 10/24/2006 11:54:49 PM    Joey ate a 1/2 a package of Red Barn Lil' Chompers.  They are 100% beef lung with 75% protien and 5% fat.  He didn't get dinner tonight because of his late afternoon feast. How did he get into this... I work for a pet product distribution company.  Red Barn sent me big sample boxes.  I didn't think he could get into my boxes, but he did. Should I be worrying about anything? By the way, when I say he ate 1/2 a bag, I mean he ate 1.75 oz of beef lung, which is like 2 handfuls. • jessies_mom Posted : 10/25/2006 7:41:47 AM   I think he'll be fine; when we were still fairly new at dog ownership we had taken Jessie to PetsMart and purchased a bag of liver treats along with some other things. Afterwards, we made a brief stop at another store and when we came back to the car the package of treats had been taken out of the shopping bag, ripped open, and all the treats had been eaten. Jessie was fine but we don't leave her alone with temptations like that anymore. • jennie_c_d Posted : 10/25/2006 11:47:36 AM I would anticipate middle of the night pooping, and some interesting poop, but otherwise, probably no issues. Teenie's done the same thing, before, but with no problems. She has a pretty solid tummy. The only thing (besides a bug they came down with, last year) that's upset her stomach, so far, has been ice cream, and she had WAY too much of it (she was so cute, everybody shared theirs, after she'd eaten hers). Here is one of the brands I bought at Petco...I think they have several brands there.
