Do you feed kibble on rotation?

My dogs like all textures.  They don't really have expectations about what their food is "supposed" to look, smell, or feel like.  That's one nice thing about switching up on them - in an emergency I can feed them just about anything safe - or someone else can.

The bad thing is that the counter surfers are very clever at finding food-like objects.  [8|]

the more often you change foods the more robust your dogs' digestive system gets. I feed different foods every single day and never have "upset" tummies-- which is really handy when your guests feed your dogs weird things or your dogs find weird things to eat. I also never feed dry kibble by itself, always mix with canned foods or fresh wet foods. I just can't believe it's good for a dog to eat a dry meal. Be like you eating meals of dried fruits and jerky. Ugh.

NicoleS, I add different varities of canned with kibble...solid gold, Innova, Nature's Variety, Canidae etc.  For myself I don't mind fedding different canned foods.

IMO, I don't think crunchy kibble is natural[:D]...just like our cereal, I add milk some may like it dry...but, for myself it adds more nutrition adding either soy milk or organic milk to my cereal....plus adding fruits, flax seeds etc.  It's part of a well rounded diet...of course not those junky sugar cereals or ones with BHA etc in them.  I also eat different types of organic cereals, instant oatmeal etc.

So, for my dogs I put half kibble, half canned foods with water to make the food as close to being natural as possible.  A dog's digestive system nor a humans is designed to eat dry foods as we need to get most of our moisture from water..humans, cats, dogs are all alike.

That is my reasoning, and my dogs do well on a well varied diet.  I also include meals of raw meat etc.
