I'm so excited!

This is probably lame, but I'm actually excited that I won't have a problem finding dog food when we move back home (hopefully this summer). There's two feed stores that'll be within 30 minutes from our house, and between them, they carry, Chicken Soup, Wellness, Eagle Pack, Natural Balance, and Innova (at least according to the store locators). There may be more, but I haven't searched that much yet. I nearly cut a kartwheel in the local co-op here when they started carrying Chicken Soup because the only options available before were the typical Purina/Science Diet/random brands or ordering food online, which killed me in shipping charges. Now if I can find the guinea pig feed I need, I'll be thrilled! There's one store near New Orleans that carries it, but they suffered severe damage from the hurricanes, so I may have to continue to order their food anyway. Still, I'm thrilled.[sm=dance.gif]

Mariana,

First, I have to say that picture of Brown is just too sweet!!

And secondly, I sure can relate to being happy to be close to stuff! My drive has been cut down from an hour (winter) to 20 minutes (winter). It just makes a person giddy! I moved closer to town from, well, not remote area (unless you need an ambulance) but still way too far. I am happy for you. [

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I'd call the feed stores instead of just relying on the store locators.

When I had a problem with Daisy's spoiled dog food and couldn't get back to DFW to exchange it, I went on Natural balance website, and they said it was here, here, and here. I called all 3 places (before making an hour drive), and they said they hadn't carried natural balence in about 2 years. I called the NB representative, and she said "oh, we're trying to get another person to redo the website. sorry!"

Well, that sounds like a pain in the butt!

I spoke to a lady back home about one of the feed stores, and she was able to confirm the brands at one of the stores, and they apparently also carry the guinea pig food I use. According to the store locator, they didn't have it, but one of the regular customers apparently convinced the store owner to carry it. Woo hoo!

Good for you! I know I felt the same way when I found a store near me that carries Innova EVO. I felt like a child in a candy store. [
