    Castor and Pollux Ultramix....

at Petco....is this a decent food and would you feed it? Im planning on doing a rotation from Natural Balance...and saw this the other day.  My 3 yo dach.. is pretty much bored with Natural Balance..but my 5 mo. dach. loves it, would it be ok to switch on her [5 mo]? Thanks everyone, ive learned alot here...this is where i came when i brought Rus. 3yo home when he was a pup.

    Here's a recent thread on it: [linkhttp://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=89386]http://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=89386[/link]

The ingredients are decent, but I think you can get better for the price. Their gimmick is the dried fruit and vegetable mix, but I'm not convinced that dogs actually get anything nutritionally from the dried fruits and veggies - seems more like it's there to appeal to the human eye. [sm=2cents.gif]

I've never tried it, as it's so expensive.  I do think the ingredients sound good for the most part, but I don't like the soybeans so high up in the list.

    It doesn't have soybeans...

Oops. I was looking at another of their products. Never mind, then. The Ultramix sounds fine.

I feed this food, both of mine love it and they are looking good.  Stools are firm and small and they are energetic.  I would say try it and see what they think of it.
