    Crockpot Recipes

I'm very excited about the recipes threads!!! Here are two of my favorite crockpot recipes...

    Potato and Sausage Casserole
8 large potatoes, cubed & peeled
1 pound smoked sausage (kielbasa), sliced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed vegetable beef soup

Combine all ingredients and cook on low 6-8 hours.

    Chicken & Dumplings
4-8 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in small chunks
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
    1/4 cup onion, finely diced
    2 cups water
2 10 oz packages refrigerated biscuits
    1 chicken bouillon cube

Combine all ingredients, except biscuits, in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. 30 minutes before serving, tear biscuit dough into 1-inch pieces. Add to your slow cooker; stirring gently. Cover and cook  on HIGH for an additional 30 minutes or until biscuits are fluffed up and cooked through.

1 (10.5 ounce can) condensed golden mushroom soup

    1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
    3 ounce softened cream cheese
    1 cup sour cream

    DIRECTIONS:

In a slow cooker, combine meat, soup, broth, dry soup mix, and worcestershire. Cook on low for 8 hours. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream just before serving. Serve over wide egg noodles with crusty bread.

I don't know if anything I make really counts as a recipe, as I pay NO attention to amounts, but here goes:

    Best Pot Roast Ever
    • 1 can of Pepsi, Coke, RC, or other cola (not diet, though)
    • Chuck Roast
    • garlic salt, pepper, kosher salt, whatever other spices you feel like (OR - Lipton Onion Soup Mix packet)
    • a bit of water to bring pepsi up to about 1/3 the side of the chuck roast

Cook in crock pot on high for a few hours or low for more hours.  You almost cannot overcook this.  This will make a pot roast so tender that you'll have to lift it out of the pot with a couple spatulas because you can't just stick a fork in it and lift it out. It'll fall apart.

    Teriyaki Pork Ribs
    ___________________

1 pack of Country Style Pork Ribs
    1 jar or Teryaki sauce
1 can of pineapple plus juice

Combine in crockpot. Start on high for a hour or so, then turn down to low. Cooks approx 6 hours. You can add a little water later if necessary.

I like to serve these with plain white rice. They are easy and taste GREAT!

I made the post roast yesterday but I used Dr Pepper instead as the only cola we drink is Diet Pepsi.  Man it  was yummy!

Crock pots are CHEAP!  You can even find them at the thrift store if you're not picky about the color. Even a new one is only about $20.00. I have two, a large one and a regular four quart one.

Also, don't forget you can roast meats in them.

Everything sounds real good.  I've got a small crock pot that i havent used in a while.  I cook every night, but 90% of the meals i make are on the stove or BBQ.

I'll be making those ribs and chicken and dumplings soon, i havent had either in sooooo long[:)]
