We live on a small caribbean island...we have grocery stores but they have LIMITED stuff. My husband is a celiac (no grains-like the dogs!), our good friend is a veg and the boss is dairy free.....try having
all them over for dinner! ("heres your broccoli")
but seriously, my husband is a chef, and let me know what kind of foods interest you and i can certainly help. ethnic? comfort foods? meat? veg? breads? desserts?
if you live out in the country you have the HUGE advantage of having FRESH foods, if not exotic ingredients.
the other night for a dinner party we mashed up scallions, garlic, fresh basil, and course salt.
rubbed into boneless chicken. baked fro a LITTLE bit to "set" it and finished it on the grill.
served with cherry tomatoes (sprinkled with sea salt and GOOD olive oil) roasted in t oven until soft.
easy! helathy! SIMPLE ! FRESH!
a couple other tips:
Donna Hay, the aussie Martha Stewart, but WAY better!

Also if you shop at all online, buy AWESOME olive oil...it can make or break a dish, it ships well and will last awhile.
and find SEA SALT...it is less chemically tasting.
