Evo, Innova, California Natural, Healthwise recall

 Thanks Karen; that's a large recall. Only one of California Natural's products is recalled, but several of the EVO and Innova products are affected.

This is more internet hysteria.  There are probably half a dozen salmonella recalls each year from every dog food manufacturer.  Salmonella is not a big deal to dogs.  They are equipped to handle it.  You will notice with all these salmonella recalls there is a statement that no dogs have been adversely affected.  Most all dogs already have salmonella in their bodies all the time.  A little more won't hurt them.

Salmonella is not a big deal to dogs.  They are equipped to handle it. 

Unless the dog is immune comprised for some reason and then it can be very dangerous.  It's also a potential danger to humans handling the food, especially young children.  Yes, there are quite a few recalls every year and the reason the manufacturer's recall the food involved is to protect the dogs and humans who could potentially be harmed.  Like any product recall, most of the time the danger is small but if your dog or child is the one affected, it's no small thing.
