    Zukes Z-Bones: big hit here!

I saw these yesterday, checked they were grain free, and bought some.  One box, regular size, of "clean apple crisp," and one box, regular size, "clean carrot crunch."

This evening, I opened the apple ones, cut in half and delivered.  WOW, all 4 pups ran happily off to their respective corners and had a blast!  Kept them busy for 15 minutes.

hehehehe I bought one for Bugsy a while back - a Giant size one - cost a decent amount and was gone in a minute or two. He did love it though and was looking for more :)

Life with a big dog! I do like many of their products and can see that for average chewers and smaller than B dogs it would be a great product

I was going to give a heads up that most of those type bones are made with corn starch.  Not a grain, exactly, but it's made from corn.  But, now that I looked at the website, I see they're made with potato starch and tapioca.

I didn't know they came in more than one size.  The largest I've been able to find is what I think they're calling their medium.  No matter- Caleb can't have them because of the potato starch.  Tongue Tied  After I switched him off NB Potato & Duck, I discovered the yeasty ears I was attributing to environmental allergies was from potatoes.

A minute or 2?  Geesh, would he get the dental benefit?  He heee, guess you need something different.

My guess is no - fortunately his teeth are good, he is such a chewer that they get regularly cleaned. Antlers are the only thing that have lasted and remained interesting to him

Sue I am so glad you sorted out sweet Caleb's ears!!!!!!!!!! smooches for the handsome & talented guy

I looked at the link as soon as I read the first post, and I was all excited to get some for Ruby.  Then I read your post, Karen, and came to my senses.  She'd scarf one down in 2 chomps.  Not only would she not get the dental benefit, but I might as well put a $5 bill in her mouth and watch her swallow it in seconds.

I don't know . . . maybe we'll try one just for the heck of it.  She loves those little Zuke's mini-treats.

Tracy I would get the biggest one I could find - remember Bugsy is huge AND a power chewer. He doesn't swallow chunks of stuff though so if you think she might swallow large chunks then I might avoid it. Remember he's like a 105lb version of her Stick out tongue

I'm assuming their texture is more like a Greenie, not crumbly like a "regular" dog biscuit?  We probably should avoid it . . . she is a power chewer, too.

DH's niece gave her a toy that was a blue rubber wheel/ball shape, and stuck in a side of it was this chew thing, meant to be gnawed on over a long period of time.  In about 3 minutes, she pulled it out of there, chomped it in a few pieces and swallowed it.  Needless to say, we didn't buy any replacement chews for it!
