    NEW PUP 6MO PRESA CANARIO

NOT SURE HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN TO FEED PEPSI. I AM FEEDING BUFFALO BLUE. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I NEVER HAD A DOG OF THIS SIZE. BUT I MUST SAY SHE IS REALLY SWEET AND GENTLE WITH THE KIDS. I MADE A GREAT CHOICE

If you got her from a breeder, I would ask that person for some advice on how much to feed at this age.  If from a breed rescue, they also would be a good resource for feeding advice.   I have no experience with this breed but I do know they are large dogs and I would be inclined to keep her on the thin side to avoid joint problems later. Sme people advise special large breed diets but again I'm not a nutrition expert so I hesitate to offer an opinion on that.  My advice is to seek out someone with experience with the breed.  Congrats on your new addition and welcome to the forum.

Did you JUST get this pup at age 6 months?  If so, I hope the breeder socialized the crap out of her while still at the breeder's kennel.  That's pretty old for a pup to leave its litter.  Anyway, I always feed "by condition" - in other words, I watch the dog.  If the pup has a slight waistline behind the rib cage, and you cannot see ribs (but can still feel them) you are probably OK with this breed.  Puppies have erratic growth spurts, just like kids, so up the food a bit if they look lean, and cut it a bit if the waistline starts to disappear;-)   Blue Buffalo has a pretty good reputation.  There are better foods, but many worse, so if your pup is doing OK on it, and it's a large breed pup formulation, I think it's fine.  By the way, I think we have a Coke on here somewhere to match your Pepsi LOL.
