Ticked Off - Taste of the Wild buying program (miranadobe)

I went into my local pet food place and saw a sign above our Taste of the Wild that says they'll no longer be doing the Buy 10 Get One Free program and that it ends TOMORROW, March 31st. They insist this is coming from Diamond and relates to TOTW and Chicken Soup For the Dog Lover's Soul

I can't find anything online anywhere else that says this (admittedly, I didn't look in every nook/cranny as I'm swamped w/stuff to do.)

Has anyone else heard that TOTW and Chicken Soup will no longer do the buying program as of this month? Too bad my local store claims they weren't notified until about a week ago - JIMMINY CRICKETS!!! Stink-o-rama.

I buy TOTW. The store where I get it though is buy 12 get next one free. I just got a bag the other day and they stamped my paper and never said anything. Maybe it's just where your shopping?

is your local store petco? went to get totw there yesterday and they no longer carry it.it's not a problem for me as i prefer to get it at a locally owned store, but i had a coupon. so perhaps your store is phasing it out.

Paige I think it is from the store - I don't know of any TOTW plans around here but have used Orijen plans like that - the place I go to is buy 10 get one free another place does a spend $60 and get a $10 credit (or something like that) so totally different plan but similar results.

I'm wondering if it's the store... or more likely the more local distributor. Either way, I sent an email to the company to find out for SURE. We'll see if I get a response in the next month... lol!

I am a retailer who carries TOW. TOW has NEVER had a buy 12 program. Either it is being funded by the store (which I do) or it was being funded by the distributor. When distributors discontinue funding promos, most stores won't suck it up. That happened here recently in the west. If you are in the CO, WY, AZ. NM area, that is what happened to you.

I think its the retailer too...not the mfg. The feed store I patronize has the buy program for Innova which I enjoyed. But they don't honor TOTW. Bum. Sad

Where I get the TOTW it's Feeder's Supply. They do the buy 12 get one free for all their foods.

That's what I've been suspecting, because they said it's affecting both TOTW and Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. I have another store that is 30 mins further away, but their regular prices are always better than this store (which is competitive, but $7/bag is worth the drive to the other store.) I don't know any other store that has beat Stateline's prices on food. I'm actually out East these days, so I have no idea who the distributor is, but it seems dog food prices are going up everywhere.

No response from TOTW yet. I wonder what sort of turn-around they'll provide in responding to my email.

Me either. I haven't found anyone that can beat their price on kibble. Between the two of us, I think we've got the whole state covered, lol. Do you go to Exeter, too? That is where I buy THK...you can't beat her prices online or anywhere locally.

Which place in Exeter? I usually do a store in Stratham for TOTW, and they carry THK there, too (although I never looked at the price. I might as well sell blood plasma in order to regularly afford that stuff!! lol)

The store in Exeter is 'All Right Provisions, The Pet Pantry' on Lincoln Street. She doesn't stock all that she carries, so she can offer really good pricing. She may carry TOTW, not sure. Where do you go in Stratham?

I'm just being a goof regarding the word tick. When I first read the title of this thread, I was like "ack, TICK!" Haha! The season is coming. Soon though we'll be at the beach swimming regularly...more than hiking in the woods.
