Bear meat?

Apparently a couple of people understood what I meant and were not offended.  If you took it wrong, I'm afraid I'm not responsible for that, and I would have appreciated a "What do you mean by that?" rather than a knee jerk statement labeling my comments as offensive.  My intention was to indicate what I would do, which was the point of the thread.  I try to purchase my own food, and my dogs' food from the most humane producers I can whenever I can.  I would take meat from a hunter who is respectful and grateful for the animal's sacrifice.  I would not take meat from trophy hunters because I would feel I was supporting those who have no respect to continue their disrespect.  That's all.

Ladies Ladies....we all mean well here!  Don't make me moderate you all!   hehehe

Anywho, bear meat!  Ate lots of this throughout the years!  Steak, burgers, sausage, bearnair meat ( donair meat made with bear), and by far my favorite...bear jerky.  The jerky was so good!  Tough ...which is what I like! 

My dogs have had it before cooked but not raw and only small peices so I can't really offer any advise on it for you.  Can't wait to hear how it goes for you though.

 So, the bear meat is a huge success!! They are loving it :)  I have some to try, too and am looking into recipes...... so, we shall see! LOL  I owe a lot to great friends, it was incredibly generous of them.
