[Richard] Van Pattens?

    [Richard] Van Pattens?

Does anyone know how [Richard] Van Pattens rates as far as how/where ingredients are processed?  Were they part of the recalls?  My dogs have been on California Natural Lamb and Rice since August 2008 and have been fabulous but now with Natura selling out I'm researching other options.  The Natural Balance Lamb Meal and Brown Rice looks the most similar so I'm thinking of giving that a try, before we run out of Cal Nat and/or they start crappifying their formula.

Erg, it bleeped out the word so I changed it to Richard, get it?

Tootsie has been on the Reduced Calorie formula for a good 6 months. So far so good.

wow that is the first low fat food I have ever seen that is not full junk. When I used to sell dog food the reduced calorie always was full of useless fillers. That looks like a great food I will recommend it to my cousin for her little round doxie.

I use their LID diets, but I've always been satisfied with the company. I think it's sort of impossible to find a company that hasn't been part of a recall at some point. Price shop around though, around here Petco marks the cans up at least .30-40 cents and the small bags by a few bucks.

Caleb is on the LIDs, too.  It runs a little over $2.00/lb around here, depending on where you get it.  Pet Valu & Cherrybrook are about 10 cents more than my favorite pet supply place.

I think I'm going to try the Lamb and Rice LID.  It is very similar to Cal Nat, about as similar as something else can be, and actually cheaper at my pet store than the Cal Nat.

When  did you hear natura was selling out?  I used to feed the dogs cal nat and then when we got our standard poodle i switched then all to acana. The pup had a hard time with cal nat and my others seem to have skin issues now so i am not sure what to do. I do use Natural Balance for the pup along with acana grasslands to give her some bulk. Not sure what is good

I switch Kord over to the Natural Balance LID sweet potaot and buffalo a few months ago. So far, and all my fingers and toes are crossed, he is doing MUCH better.
