Kong stuffing?

I mix yogurt (Dannon Natural No Fat Plain) with baby fruit, baby meat, peanut butter, honey, smushed bananas, anything really.... I seal the small end of the Kong with a small piece of foil, fill it and then seal the large end with foil. I freeze it large side down so it stands up on it's own. The foil peels off easily when ready to use. It works great!

    Hi, Ya'll!

I was following this thread last week and decided to try it this weekend.

In my blender I put 3 eggs, Dannon plain yogurt, canned pumpkin, a bit of peanut butter and a bit of cinnamon. I blended it real well and piped it into the boys' Kongs and put them in the freezer.

OMG! They went NUTS over it! I even gave some to a friend of mine so she could try with her fur-babies.

Thanks so much for all the suggested variations. I'll be trying these varieties as soon as they're out of this first batch...

    You guys ROCK!

My sister for me a gift card to the pet store I go to, and I went there last night to get some stuff for my ferrets, but then right as I walked in I saw they had a HUGE XXL kong for sale (only $10 Indifferent ) so I couldnt resist, and I got it for him. He loooves it, and its harder for him to get all the stuff out because he cant get his tongue into the bottom as easily. I mixed some yogurt, an egg, some chunks of meat, and salmon oil, and put it in the kong with some cream cheese in the bottom to plug it up, then froze it overnight... The next day, he worked that thing for at least an hour, which is a record for him, usually ge either gets it all out or becomes bored after 10-15 minutes.

I want to get him some other toys to keep him busy durring the day... anyone have any luck with the Tug a jug or the Twist n treat?

    • Gold Top Dog

If he's a toy shaker or tosser, I wouldn't reccomend the Tug A Jug. It's VERY hard. Emma smacked me with it, once, and it went away. Mine do like the Twist N Treat. I've only ever used it with kibbles in it.

No on the tug-a-jug!! I believe it was Bevo that managed to send it sailing through the window...

Skip the tug-a-jug if he's a shaker.  It's seriously hard plastic, & it can shatter a window very easily!  It can also break a picket off of a fence in half if slammed at the proper angle, & knock chucks of bark off trees.  Yes, I have a destructo dog....

Chyna eats out of a twist n treat when the other dogs are eating out of kongs.  I mix up whatever I'm using to stuff kongs, & just stuff it in the twist n treat & freeze it.  It takes her quite a while to get everything out.  That said, she's not the brightest crayon in the box...

Twist and treat!! Pirate loves his. He doesn't untwist it though, he just rolls it around so all the kibbles fall out.

I love this thread, I was already giving Zoey her Kong and a 'monster mouth' stuffed with kibble & pb ( just on the edges), but now i have a whole list of stuff I can put in there!! now I really want to get two more kongs!! ( and try freezing them). thanks everyone!!

I'm sure you've seen this one, this is her monster mouth toy ( my BF got it for her, he's so nice )

I can't wait til she gets bigger and can use the buster ball.

Oh wow! We used to have the Jolly Ball where I worked (doggie day care) and they were really high quality, so I bet the rest of their stuff is decent. Whoo!

BTW, Kong stuffers, I snagged two Squirrel Dudes and a Waggle (made by Premier, the same company that makes the T and T) at Ross this week for $10!! Score!
