Naming my salon

Paint the toenails, and post a picture! I'd paint Pirate's toes! I looove painting toenails, LOL. Emma intentionally goes outside and digs after her nails are painted, to rub it off. Teenie loved having hers done. I can't really paint Ena's, because of her furnishings. My dogs' nails are show short, though, so there really isn't much to paint. They get dremeled every other day....

    I'd paint Pirate's toes!

I betcha he'd let you, too. He's bratty like that ;)

Dogs like it when I touch thier feet. I have magic.

Actually... a dog bit me, today, LOL. Oh, well. She didn't break my skin. She just didn't want her feet handled, and she got over it.

I will paint the girls' nails on the 3rd and post a pic. Wish me luck!!!

In Eastman (GA) there is a salon called "Pretty paws", but of course you've added "pet parlor" onto that.  I dunno how close that is to you, but it might be something to consider.  There is someone in CA who has "my" same business name, and Jasper on GHI has a grooming SCHOOL with "my" name, but they are not very close to me.  And I seriously thought I made my name up....

LOL, when I hear "lion and lamb" I think "continental", not "kitty".Smile

I LIKED Pretty Paws... until I saw the post about Doggie Styles!  Big Smile  LMBO!

Eastman is not close, close, but it's close enough..... I've been considering a lot of things, and I'm thinking about naming it The Spotted Dog Salon.

I just don't know.... *sigh* I'm trying to name a dang dog, and a salon. Too much naming!

    Jennie,

I don't visit here as much as I used to and had no idea you had your own salon now! WOW, I so glad for you :)

I opened my pet spa in March and it was HARD to figure out what to name it, lol. You want it to sound catchy, so people will remember it, but you want it to reflect you as well. It also needs to sound professional, yadda, yadda, yadda! It took me 3 months and finally I just settled. I couldn't make up my mind, lol so I named it after my dog, Cameo's Pet Spa and Boutique.

    WTG on your place!

LOL, I'm still going through names, in my head. I'd thought of the Naked Dog Salon, since I've got the Crestie puppy. She's the main attraction. Of course, then people would wonder....

It's  such a touchy thing, and I probably make a bigger deal about it than I should, but I want it to be generic enough that it gets everybody, nothing in it that offends anybody (especially in the dang Bible Belt!), unique enough that you remember it.... BLAH!!!

And thank youSmile I'm thrilled with my little closet. As soon as I get it running more smoothly, permanently named, etc, I'm going to be on here asking for equipment opinions. I desperately need a dehumidifier and some better driers and kennels..... It's like mobile grooming, right now. Having to get them in and out, so they're not sitting on the terrible, not removable grates. One cage is broken because a dog weighed too much for it. *sigh*

I like Pretty Paws.  I also like The Naked Pooch.  LOL.  What about The Hottie Dog Salon.  Or, Manees and Petties.  Or, The Groom Closet.  Big Smile

All seriousness...whatever you end up with, I wish you the greatest success!

    • Gold Top Dog

I thought about something like Nose to Toes, LOL.

I just... don't... know. Between the two groomers, we have five dogs, so naming it after a dog.... Well... It's EMMA's salon. She is the shop dog, so I guess it'd be her name on it. She's very proud of it, and tells everybody who comes in that it's hers. She's a nut.

    • Gold Top Dog

Gosh, Jennie, I know what you mean about the dog showing off in the shop! Cami HAS to meet everybody that comes in, lol.

Hey, what about, Whiskers something or another! Or, since you are doing dogs AND cats, Pretty Paws and Claws? Precious Pets, OR, lol, Doggy Doo's and Kitties Too!

He he, I can think of a bunch when it's not mine :)

HA HA, closet, I know the feeling! My place is really small, but it's only me, so it's not that bad. My biggest problem is storage, as I have no where to put things and that drives me nuts. Any little thing out of place makes it look cluttered, so I have to really get myself out of setting something down where it doesn't belong. I have about 400sqft

    Here's some pic's of my place. http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b233/Bunnyrunner/shop/?action=view¤t=92987004.pbr

I did all the work myself, including installing the tub base, wall, tub itself. and the surround (with the exception of the plumbing). The last one is my homemade table. The base is a lift table from Northern Tool and Equipment, the top was made for me by my hubby and his friend :) Cost me $99 total

Nice work, Renee!  It's really coming along NICE!  What is the story with the vanity?  Is that just for fun?

I have the world's dinkiest shop, it's a teeny tiny house (zoned for busines).  If I ever decide to re-locate, I honestly wonder if it would be big enough to live in.  I think I might suffocate.  LOL!

    • Gold Top Dog

There's a Paws N Claws with a horrible reputation, right up the road, LOL.  That's one of the problems I'm running into. Somebody thinks of a name, and there's a place nearby that already has that name. My friend wanted Pampered Pets, but I knew there was "something" that had that name. I went to a dog show, weekend before last, and the kennel that hosts the obedience club is Carol's Pampered Pets. *eyeroll* I keep coming up with stuff that's takenWink Or that just won't work.

I looove the photos of your shop! It's so cute! That table is fantastic!  Cameo watching out the door is too cute. Aren't they funny, showing off their shops?

    • Gold Top Dog

"The Puppy & Puss Grooming Parlor?"  LOL, Errrrrr, maybe not.
