He came trotting over to us right after it happened, not limping or whimpering or anything.

He had enough of that.  Go back to mom and dad where its safe.

I am so glad he is ok.  I am so glad you put he's OK in the thread title.  How sweet that Sammy reacted the way he did when he got back from the e-vet.  He felt your worry; and was relieved when he came home.

    Very scary...

How absolutely terrifying! That's one of my worst nightmares. I'm so glad Harry's ok. I hope he's not too sore tomorrow.

Thank heavens he's alright. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, I know you must be really edgy right now

Thanks again, everyone.  Y'all are the best!

Harry seems to be doing well this morning.  BF is not feeling well today (*cough* hangover! *cough*) so he graciously offered to stay home today so he can keep an eye on the boy.  He may be a little on the sore side.  He's not showing any outward signs of soreness, not walking stiff or limping, but he was moving a bit slower this morning than usual.  But, he heartily ate his breakfast, and had a nice firm poop which I checked for signs of bleeding, and there were none.

He really is one very lucky dog!!

This was the first post title that jumped out at me this morning too. I'm so glad that Harry is okay. I think this is the worst nightmare for most of us. (((HUGS)))

Oh my goodness that is one lucky pup! Glad to hear he is okay!

If you want to PM me, I'll be happy to give you the details on how we teach emergency recall, so you can have more control over him if he ever does get loose again.

    • Gold Top Dog

Holy crap, I don't know how I missed this!

Harry, you nut!  Heather, hopefully you're nerves aren't quite so frazzled.

I know how you felt - you may recall my little weiner Harley who escaped back in March.

Gentle rubs for Harry, the dog with the horseshoe up his butt, and 4-leaf clovers growing out of his ears!

I just got home, and he wanted me to throw the ball out in the yard, lol!  I did just couple times, and not too far, but even though he seems fine, I still want him to take it easy.  I must have called BF about 10 times today while I was at work, to check on him and make sure he was doing okay.

Anne, I have the RRR DVD, and believe you me, we are going to be working on that training right away!
