UTI?

UTI?

I'm thinking Finn has a UTI. He had 2 pretty serious accidents yesterday. I mean there was an unbelievable amount of urine. Today, no accidents, but he is peeing and acting like he doesn't realize he's doing it. DH and I were training him tonight and he was in a sit in front of DH and suddenly started peeing and then just stood up and walked closer to DH. We've been trying to watch to see if he's drinking more and think he is.

So, does this sound like a UTI? Or something else? If it is, I can't even make the appointment until Monday morning and who knows when I'll get an appt, probably Tuesday.

It could be a UTI. Believe it or not, he could be marking, too. My little Stink Pot didn't stop to lift his leg- he'd mark as we were walking without showing any indication he was doing it (other then the dribble trail). He got neutered a couple of months earlier then I planned on because it was interfering with our training.

sure it could be a UTI -- they can have them pretty well from in utero (if Mom had one) -- don't let the vet JUST do a strip test -- ask for it to be sent out -- this is a puppy, so assume *nothing*. You want to know how well he's concentrating his urine, and you'll have a baseline of what it looks like otherwise.
