he was happy to eat the food with the granules - but not the morning meal without - he was just served his 'dinner' and won't touch it

not sure why he would be so off his food

Is it really hot?  I'm just throwing out ideas but Willow is impossible in the summer with the heat.

I decided to give him some benadryl as historically this has been a bad time for his allergies - since starting on the thyroid meds he has needed benadryl MUCH less frequently so may be he just needs some allergy relief.

When his allergies are bad he seems to struggle to swallow which is what he was doing

Hopefully he awakes tomorrow morning ready to eat.  He's no real chow hound but he doesn't skip meals Wink

Yes, the vet was just telling us the kitten we are fostering is having allergy trouble too.  Mike and I thought he had an infection or respiratory something or other going on but nope, allergy.

Hope the Benedryl works for him.  At the very least, he'll sleep great tonight dreaming about moles and balls and stuff.  ox
