Pooping and drinking way too much!

Okay, so we have the worms taken care of for our new Cocker Spaniel. Thanks for everyone's help! Now, there is a new problem. Last night Bo kept whining and barking at me to wake me up. So I would get up and let him outside, he went pee once, but everytime I would let him back in he went straight to the water dish and drank and drank and drank, etc. He had pooped in the house TWICE during the day - both being very loose. I put him in his crate for a few hours (No more than 3) so I could get a little bit of sleep. When I got up, he had pooped in his crate! Anyone have any suggestions? That poop puts it up to 5 poops for yesterday and the excessive drinking last night was odd also...what should I do? We have never had a dog with so many "issues" ;)

    Thanks!

I hate to say this, but the excessive drinking sounds like a UTI.  Any infection in that area is also going to increase the need to poop.  My cockers were always very sensitive in the tummy area and UTI's aren't uncommon in my experience.

I don't think this is behavorial at all.  I'm thinking, back to the vet.

And now he just threw up a little bit. It was very clear..poor guy :(

     definitely back to the vet!

Clear and yellowish is generally bile from a too empty tummy.  CLEAR is likely the too much water he drank trying to dilute his urine so it doesn't burn so much on the way out.

UTI most definitely -- with many dogs the clearest signal you GET that they have a UTI is that they will drink incessantly because the urine burns and the know the more they drink the less it burns.

Don't let the vet blow this off -- get antibiotics even if the urine is too dilute to register  infection.
